Cuba's best athletes in 2023 will be announced today at the Ciudad Deportiva coliseum in Havana, where the performance of athletes with great results in these 12 months will be recognized.

The training of coaches of the National Boxing School in Cuba will soon be part of the deployment of the computer system Sport Intelligence Suite, designed to monitor indicators of high-performance athletes.

Cuban pairs Jorge Luis Alayo-Noslen Diaz and Amanda Armenteros-Maykeline Drik will seek today their third win in the U23 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, under way in the Dominican Republic.

The Central American and Caribbean championship for women and the senior mixed male-female championship are two of the international chess competitions that Cuba will host in 2024, according to Carlos Rivero, president of the Cuban chess federation.

The Cuban duos of Jorge Luis Alayo and Noslen Diaz, and Amanda Armenteros and Maykeline Drik traveled to the Dominican Republic to participate at the U23 tournament and the closing event of the North, Central America and Caribbean Circuit (NORCECA) of beach volleyball.

Come December 8, Havana will host the Cuban wrestling gala “Pedro Val In Memoriam”, which will include exhibition matches and celebrate the country’s best athletes of 2023, according to national commissioner Martin Torres.
