Havana, March 31 (ACN) The Isle of Youth municipality, south to Cuba mainland, will host the Fourth “Isla Verde International Environmental Film Festival May 31-June 6.
The “Isla Verde” (Green Island) festival was founded in 2022 by renowned Cuban actor and filmmaker Jorge Perugorria. The film contest will include full-length and short-length movies promoting environmental conservation and the relationship between humans and nature.
The festival’s program includes keynote lectures, workshops, concerts, visual arts exhibits and community actions.
The event is organized by the local “Isla Verde” environmental development project, Four Wives initiative, the Antonio Nunez Jimenez “Man and Nature” foundation in cooperation with the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO).
