HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 21 (ACN) Cuban canoeist Yarisleidis Cirilo advanced today to the 200-meter single-seater (C-1) semifinals at the World Speed Championships in Milan, Italy.
According to the International Federation's website, Cirilo dominated her qualifying heat with a time of 46.66 seconds and will be in Saturday's semifinals.
With this result, the bronze medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and world champion demonstrated that she is capable of claiming another world title.
According to the program announced by the organizers, the medal match will be held on Sunday, the final day of the Italian competition.
