HAVANA, Cuba, August 26 (ACN) Cuba beat Colombia 3-2 in the 2025 Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship, under way in Jiangmen, China, and will now play Egypt in the round of 16.
Team Cuba finished third in Group C and the Egyptians second in Group A with four wins and one loss to the undefeated leader of that group, the United States.
The Cubans outperformed the Colombians in attack (76-56) and serve (9-6), whereas the South Americans were better in block (17-13) and opponent errors (26-35).
Cuba concluded pool play with nine points after three wins and two losses.
