
HAVANA, Cuba, July 25 (ACN) The Cuban team advanced to the round of 16 after beating Brazil on Monday in straight sets at the 2025 Men's U-21 Volleyball World Championship, under way in Jiangmen, China.
The Cubans, who have lost to Czech Republic and Japan, secured their second victory—the first one was over Bulgaria—to place third in Group C with 7 points.
Come Tuesday, they will be opposite the Colombians, who have not won any game yet.
Against Brazil, Team Cuba was better in attack (44-33), block (11-5) and serve (3-2), but not so in terms of opponent errors (23-17).
