Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President signed on Friday the book of condolences opened at the Chinese embassy in Havana for the passing in November of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin.

The Cuban foreign ministry called today for a tweet on the occasion of the celebration in the country of the International Human Rights Day, this December 10.

Cuba defends the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of States and points out that it is up to the Peruvian people to find solutions to their challenges, said Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban communist party and president of the country, on Twitter today.

Cuba’s deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and the general secretary of the Organization African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti, exchanged views on current challenges facing that group of nations.

“We have concluded an intense and emotional tour of the Caribbean,” Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel said in Grenada, the last stop of his tour around the region, where he could witness the validity of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz’s legacy, as well as the special bonds that he established with the Caribbean brothers and sisters, continued by Army General Raúl Castro.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla hailed today the Day of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) with Cuba, established by the decision of Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago to start diplomatic relations with the island 50 years ago.

Cuba and Grenada will increase collaboration in fields such as agriculture, health care, infrastructure, education, environment and climate change, as agreed during official talks between Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and the Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell.

Shortly after midday Wednesday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived in the Caribbean island nation of Grenada, as part of a regional tour that took him to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Barbados, where he attended a Caricom-Cuba summit.

Cuban experts discard, for the time being, any danger on the island nation from the Sulphur dioxide emissions coming from Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano, considered the world’s largest active volcano.
