
HAVANA, Cuba, April 28 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, expressed his condolences for the victims of an attack in southwestern Colombia and reiterated Cuba's commitment to peace in that South American nation.
On X, Cuban head of diplomacy conveyed his condolences to the Colombian government and people for the 20 deaths and 36 injuries sustained in the bomb attack carried out on Saturday on the Pan-American Highway in the department of Cauca.
Cuba reiterates its firm commitment to peace in Colombia, Rodriguez Parrilla wrote regarding the incident, which local military authorities attribute to an armed group called the Central General Staff (EMC).
According to Defense Minister Pedro Sanchez, the terrorist act was retaliation for the offensive being carried out against the EMC, a remnant of the now-defunct Revolutionary Armed Forces-People's Army.
