Following a visit to Pinar del Rio, the province with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country, Public Health Minister Jose Angel Portal Miranda said that changing the epidemiological situation requires everybody’s engagement and awareness.
In the last 15 days, over 15,600 people have tested positive in this province, for an incidence rate of more than 2,600 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the highest in Cuba today.

Holguin, Cuba's third most populated province with more than one million inhabitants, continues the immunization campaign with the vaccine Abdala—100% effective to prevent COVID-19-related complications and death—with three doses already administered to more than 152,000 people.

A total of 3,663,808 people have received the complete anti-COVID-19 vaccination scheme in Cuba, with Soberana 02, Soberana Plus or Abdala, reports today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym).
