Over 3.6 million Cubans completed anti-COVID-19 vaccination program



HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 1 (ACN) A total of 3,663,808 people have received the complete anti-COVID-19 vaccination scheme in Cuba, with Soberana 02, Soberana Plus or Abdala, reports today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP by its Spanish acronym).

At the end of August 29, the number of doses administered with these drugs developed in the country reached 13, 739,821.

According to MINSAP, 5,469,367 people have received at least one dose of one of the immunogens, and of these, 4,606,646 have already received a second dose.

As part of the massive vaccination, which began last July 29, after the emergency use of the Abdala vaccine was authorized, 3,646,583 doses have been administered.

Meanwhile, the health intervention, which has been taking place since May and includes territories and risk groups, has already reached a total of 9,492,255 doses administered.

In addition, 149,364 doses were administered, associated with the development of clinical trials with the Cuban vaccine candidates Soberana 02, Abdala and Soberana Plus (for convalescents), in Havana, Santiago, Granma and Guantanamo provinces.
