The Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) will officially present today its new visual identity, its first official logo ever, according to Daylina Morales Escobar, director of the institution's Information Center.

With a new identity logo and a large cultural program, the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC) will mark its 62nd birthday on March 24 under the slogan “Identity and Movement for Cuban Cinema.”

The Latin Institute of Music (ILM) premiered on Mon day in the social networks, in salute to International Women's Day, the animated short film Tito Reacciona a Alicia Alonso (Tito reacts to Aliciia Alonso), a deep look that serves as a tribute to the Prima Ballerina Assoluta from the series of the well-known Mexican character.

The 19th International Documentary Festival Santiago Alvarez in Memoriam, held online, has more attractions to offer this Thursday in the YouTube channels of the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), Cubacine, the Ministry of Culture, and the Santiago Álvarez Office itself, as well as in their Facebook and Instagram pages.

Visual artist Raciel Feria, one of the greatest ceramists in Cuba, is always absorbed in his ideas and tasks as coordinator of the Community Project Pensando en Nos-Otros (Thinking of Ourselves—and Others), sponsored by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba and the National Council of Houses of Culture. However, ranking high among his satisfactions is the trophy that annual winners of the Santiago Alvarez in Memoriam International Documentary Festival (not competitive this year).

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez posted today on Twitter his regret about the passing of photographer Raúl Pérez Ureta, whom he described as one of the great artists of Cuban cinema whose sensitive and expert vision is already immortal.
