The Cuban delegation to Panama´s Social Forum abandoned its opening session on Wednesday in a strong response to the presence of paid-mercenaries at the event.

Barack Obama was only four days old when the Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara publically denounced Washington´s hostile policy against Cuba during an Inter-American Summit, while reiterating Fidel Castro´s desire to dialog in order to solve the differences in an equal footing and carry out secret talks with the US envoy.

Cuban Reverend Raul Suarez, who is participating at the forums parallel to the 7th Summit of the Americas in Panama, condemned the executive order issued by the Obama administration describing Venezuela as a threat to US national security.

During the first Cuba-US talks on human rights, held on March 31 in Washington D.C., the representatives of the island expressed their country´s concerns regarding human rights in the United States.

Organizers of an upcoming Continental Forum in Solidarity with Cuba gathered in the Dominican Republic to consider the agenda of the event, to be hosted by the Caribbean nation.

The revision by the US Treasury of a blacklist of entities and individuals linked to Cuba was described as routine with no relation to the recent changes in Washington´s policy towards Cuba.
