Cuban men's basketball team head coach Eduardo Moya stressed in this city the importance of the country’s Superior League for the development of several talented young players and announced that this tournament should begin in April, after a two-year shutdown imposed by COVID-19.

The best competitors of the Caribbean, including international and Olympic medal winners, experienced players and new talents, are in this city to participate in the 62nd Caribbean Table Tennis Championship, a qualifying tournament for the 2022 Pan American Championship and the 2023 World Championship.

The 62nd Caribbean Table Tennis Championship is taking place in Havana March 3-8 contested by internationally renowned players, medalists and winners with Olympic records, particularly from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
