Cuba reached an easy 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-12) victory over Nicaragua at the start of the U-19 Boys´ Volleyball Pan Am Cup based in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, which awards the last two tickets to the age-group FIVB World Championship to be played in Tunisia from next August 21 to 30.

Cubans Arlenis Sierra and Heidy Praderas will race for the Astana Women's Team in the Tour of Flanders, sixth stop of the 2019 UCI World Tour, which next Sunday will be attended by 24 elite squads and will cover 159 km, including 16 mountainous stretches.
