The SARS-CoV-2 virus, the cause of COVID-19, has killed 150 people in Cuba so far in May, up to the end of May 15, bringing the total number of deaths since the introduction of the pandemic in March last year to 804 deaths due to complications of the disease.

Specialists and technicians from the Cuban Electronics, Informatics, Automation and Communications Industry Group (Gelect by its Spanish acronym) are working on a project to reuse neonatal incubators that have been discontinued due to electrical problems and whose replacement is limited by the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.
