Havana, Aug 24 (ACN) Havana’s government and Communist Party authorities addressed the increasing number of children infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus over the past few days.
During the meeting Communist Party leader in Havana, Luis Antonio Torres, referred to complaints by the people about gaps in meeting bio-security norms and social distancing particularly onboard public transportation vehicles.
Havana’s governor Reinaldo Garcia double-checked measures underway in state-run isolation centers related to the offer of a balance diet and other resources to the persons who stay in those facilities as well as the distribution of medicinal oxygen to healthcare centers.
Havana reported 899 new positive COVID-19 cases on Mondayh, 480 of them having been vaccinated.
However, health authorities say that in most Havana municipalities the prevalence of the pandemic is decreasing.
