Cuba will show its results in genetic improvement and the use of biotechnology, as well as in the conservation, development and application of phytogenetic and zoogenetic resources at the 6th International Congress on Animal Improvement, to be held on November 15 to 18 in this city.

 The AZCUBA Sugar Group announced in this city that the sugar mill 14 de Julio of the central province of Cienfuegos will mark the beginning on November 30 of the Cuban 2022-2023 sugar harvest, considering that this province earned the best evaluation last year and boasts three of the best six mills of the country despite the lack of material and financial resources, parts and supplies due to the U.S. blockade.

Officials from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) learned this Tuesday in Havana about the main challenges and strengths of Cuban small and medium-sized enterprises to promote their inclusion in local and export value chains, as well as the competitive advantages they can have in a globalized market.

The Cuban Council of Ministers (Government) designated the keys off the northern coast of the central province of Ciego de Avila as a zone under special regulations with economic development interest, in the category of Territory of Preferential Tourist Use, in tune with Decree-law 331 related to Zones under Special Regulations.
