Cuban president attends FIHAV 2022 opening ceremony

 HAVANA, cUBA, Nov 14 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban communist party and president of the country, attends the opening of the 38th Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2022), which will be held at the Expocuba fairgrounds until Friday.

The President is joined by other leaders of the Party, government and the State, and in the opening ceremony Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister, welcomes national and foreign businessmen, as well as the official delegations present, including several Chambers of Commerce.

FIHAV has been held since 1983, and after the editions corresponding to 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to COVID-19, it recovers its space and ratifies itself as a business platform for new companies in the Cuban market and those already established.

During this commercial exchange, one of the most representative of Latin America and the Caribbean, there will be business meetings, business rounds, seminars and conferences, among other activities, and in their respective pavilions almost twenty countries will celebrate their national days.

Expression of the confidence of the international community to invest or enter the Cuban market despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the U.S. government towards Cuba, is the presence not only of businessmen but also of official delegations headed by high-ranking officials.
