Havana, Nov 14 (ACN) Cuba and China ratified the good state of economic and trade relations during the celebration of China Day at the 38th Havana International Trade Fair, which opened November 14th at Expocuba exhibit grounds.
Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca said that a delegation from the island recently participated at a trade fair in Shanghai, which allow promoting local products and services in China. Cuba will soon take part at the China-Latin America and Caribbean Entrepreneurial Summit to be held in Ecuador, the minister announced.
On Thursday, November 17th Chinese and Cuban executives will launch an e-commerce site which is promoting and selling Cuban coffee, rum and honey
Chinese ambassador to Cuba Ma Hui welcomed the Chinese companies participating at Havana’s fair, which he described as one of the best known events of its kind in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Economic and Commercial cooperation between China and Cuba has great potential said the ambassador and noted that over the past two years, the companies from both nations have worked together amidst the strengthening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba and the impact by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Havana’s International Trade Fair is being attended by representatives of more than 60 countries.
