Cuba culture is always where most needed as sword and shield of the Cuban nation, said President Miguel Diaz-Canel referring to celebrations on Thursday for Cuban Culture Day.

 Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Party's Central Committee and president of the country, said today that the death of visual artist Juan Moreira, at 83, leaves a painful gap in the visual arts field and in those who admire his work.

On the occasion of World Food Day, the 3rd Zona Quinta Festival will be held on October 15 and 16 in its usual venue at the botanical garden of Havana’s Quinta de los Molinos.

With more than 70 participants from 11 countries, the province of Holguín will host the International Arts and Crafts Fair Iberoarte 2022 on November 4 to 20, sponsored by the local chapter of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC).

The Chinese Colony of the province of Holguín celebrated its 90th anniversary this weekend with a number of activities, including tributes, presentations of research works, exhibitions, traditional dances and parades, as its nearly 170 members reassert their commitment to the conservation of historical and other traditions inherited from their ancestors, as well as to the constant development of close ties with provincial culture.
