Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel spoke with the newly elected president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva over the phone to congratulate him on his victory at the elctions.

Participants in the 15th National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Canada condemned the 60-plus year-old U.S. blockade of Cuba and ratified their commitment to the Revolution.

Demands for an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years by the United States were heard on Sunday in various parts of the northern country.

Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Cuban minister of foreign trade and investment, urged to materialize joint projects between his country and Argentina, during a meeting with businessmen of that South American nation in Buenos Aires.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel hailed today the start of the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties—the first ever to be held in this city—and stressed his conviction that their debates will contribute to strengthen anti-imperialist struggle.
