Conference highlights significance of alliances among civilizations

 HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 25 (ACN) Ana Isabel Prera Flores, president of the Esquipulas Foundation for Peace, stressed the importance of alliances among civilizations in her words to the 5th International Conference “For World Balance” in Havana.

“The alliance of civilizations and cultures is an ethical, political and practical requirement to cope with the changes and challenges facing humanity,” she pointed out.

Ms. Prera referred to climate emergency, the nuclear threat and the weakening of the international democratic system and popular participation as the main menace to life in the planet.

The 5th International Conference “For World Balance” gathers more than 1,000 delegates from 85 countries in a forum intended to raise public awareness of the evils currently afflicting humanity.
