 The 4th International Educational Film Showcase will take place May 6-12 in different Cuban localities aimed at promoting audiovisual culture in children and youths.

The Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba Co. (LADC), led by master Lizt Alfonso, announced its 30th Summer Courses, which include lessons in various dance genres given by excellent professors such as Yadira Hernandez, Indira Alvarez, and Alfonso herself, who will create a choreography for the closing Gala.

Among the 30 works from 15 competing countries featured on the list of finalists, the short and feature film juries awarded the prizes of the 2nd Caribbean International Film and Environment Festival “Isla Verde” to audiovisuals from Puerto Rico and Chile, respectively.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the "Dancing Technologies" Creation Award, facilities in Havana's Historic Center will host, starting April 26, the 18th International Festival of Videodance DVDanza Havana, movement and city.

With the aim of uniting all artistic manifestations and rescuing traditions, a new cultural space begins in the central province of Villa Clara, under the name of Ateneo Cultural (Cultural Athenaeum).

The Acosta Danza company reported that it was nominated, along with four other companies, as "Best Medium Company" for the National Awards given each year by the dance section of the UK Performing Arts Critics Circle.

The 12th Festival “Un puente hacia La Habana” [A bridge to Havana], organized to commemorate the Cuban capital city’s 505th birthday, will include concerts by the foreign singers Jessy Yasmeen, from Holland, and Carlos Torres, finalist of the contest La Voz de España.

The 24th Havana Film Festival in New York features an ambitious program of films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Uruguay and other countries, most of them world and local premieres.

With the participation of 125 prominent representatives of culture, academia and diplomacy, the 22nd International Conference on African and Afro-American Culture opened its doors in the city of Santiago de Cuba.

 As the 15th International Puppetry Festival/Workshop “Festitim 2024”, scheduled to be held in this city on May 14 to 19, the organizers work to turn the much-awaited event into a promotion of and with art.
