HAVANA, Cuba, May 6 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, congratulated today the casino dancers who broke the world record for the largest number of people dancing at the same time in Cuba.
On X, the president stressed that on Sunday a transcendental event was achieved, an example of the culture, identity and joy of the Cuban people.
With 2,946 people all over the country dancing simultaneously on casino rueda, with 142 ruedas, Cuba achieved two records with which it will seek to obtain the Guinness World Record in November.
Diaz-Canel in his message also thanked all those who had been working for months to achieve this result.
The project was carried out in honor of the National Day of Son, and was led by Luis Llamo Castillo, who is considered the Ambassador of that genre in Cuba.
