Since July 3, the country has been entering the second phase of the post-Covid-19 recovery, except for Havana, which begins the first phase, and Matanzas, which joined the rest of the provinces a few days later in the de-escalation process.

A total of 4,365 Cubans stranded by COVID-19 in 46 countries have returned to Cuba since March 22, according to Ernesto Soberon, director general of consular affairs and Cuban residents abroad at the foreign ministry.

Cuba studied 2,309 samples, resulting in 5 positive ones. The country accumulated 175,372 samples and 2,353 are positive (1.3%).

Beginning July 1, Gaviota Hoteles will open two of its facilities to international tourism, in a secure manner, in Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria, guaranteeing the guests’ isolation.

As reported at the Mesa Redonda, TV program, last Thursday, the Council of Ministers approved the plan of measures for the recovery phase after COVID-19.
