Diaz-Canel received Letters of Credence from new ambassadors



HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (ACN) Miguel Díaz-Canel, president of Cuba, received today in a solemn ceremony Regine Lamur, ambassador of the Republic of Haiti; Angel Martin Peccis, ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain; Boniface Vignon, ambassador of the Republic of Benin; and Maria de Lourdes Batista Mendoca, ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

At the ceremony, also presided over by Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, Diaz-Canel welcomed Shibru Mamo Kedida, ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; Nana Yuliana, ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia; and Mahamadou Diagouraga, ambassador of the Republic of Mali, reported the Cubaminrex website.

Earlier, the Cuban president held a virtual ceremony, co-hosted with Cuba's headquarters at the United Nations, with Jorundur Valtysson, Iceland's ambassador to Cuba; with the ambassador of the Kingdom of Tonga, Viliami Va'inga Tone; and with Sidi Mohamed Laghdaf, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

In both events, the diplomats presented the Letters of Credence accrediting them as the highest representatives of their respective countries to the Cuban government.
