 The Cuban projects Joven Club Móvil Ecológico and Cartelera Cultural La Papeleta won the awards of the Forum of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), held in Geneva, Switzerland, according to the Cuban ambassador in that city, Juan Antonio Quintanilla.

 “Our truth is in the ideas of justice that we defend and in the wonderful work that we build against the tide,” said Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and head of its Ideological Department at the ceremony of the 2023 National Journalism Awards, held on the occasion of Cuban Press Day.

The adoption of an action plan to counteract the conservative media machinery and the training of professionals committed to the values of popular transformation were the focus of debate in the last day of the 2nd International Colloquium Patria (Homeland).

The blockade against Cuba, an illegal policy of economic choking driven and sustained by the United States, has reached a new level with the offensive of digital imperialism. One of the least visible forms of this situation is the digital blockade which implies much more than an act of censorship and exclusion, it is a restriction to individual and collective development, to the formation of citizenship, to the integral participation in human development.

With a strong condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and the discrediting and manipulation campaigns, journalists, intellectuals, activists and politicians from 14 countries endorsed today the final declaration of the 2nd International Colloquium Patria.

Cuban authorities and institutions congratulate today the country's media workers, on the occasion of the Press Day, which evokes the creation of the newspaper Patria, considered a paradigm of revolutionary journalism.

The 2nd International Colloquium Patria will conclude today, Cuban Press Day, with the reading of the final declaration of the event, the presentation of the Jose Marti and Juan Gualberto Gomez National Journalism Awards, and a political-cultural event on the steps of the University of Havana.

The formation and development of Belarus' socio-economic model and the impact that the management of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activity has had on it, was the subject of the March session of the National Innovation Council (CNI), led by Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and World Food Program (WFP) representative here Henri Labande reiterated their willingness to keep strengthening relations and expand bilateral cooperation.
