Marinus Bee, president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Suriname, is paying an official visit to Cuba to commemorate on May 31 the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Adianez Taboada Zamora, deputy minister of Cuba’s Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA), stressed that the Caribbean countries and small island states need access external financing to purchase cutting-edge technologies designed to counteract the effects of climate change.
