Cuba Reelected member of WTO Council

Havana, Jun 7 (ACN) Cuba was reelected an associated member of the General Council of the World Trade Organization in Geneva.

On his X account, Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez explained that the island was reelected with 193 votes in favor, being the nation of this nation with the largest support.

The reelection of Cuba is an acknowledgement of the island’s commitment to labor and union rights, the foreign minister noted.

Cuba, as member of the WTO executive body, will actively participate in the organizations’ decision taking processes and policies.
