Cuba’s Health Ministry announced on Wednesday the detection of a second case of monkeypox in Cuban territory, which has no connection to a previous case.

A donation of medical products was brought by the US Hatuey project to this province major clinical and surgical hospital.

A total of 41,109,375 doses of the Cuban vaccines Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala have been administered in the country to 9,986,689 people (90.1% of the Cuban population), the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today.

Cuba reported today 42 new COVID-19 cases after 1,864 samples were analyzed. A total of 14,097,790 have been taken in the country since the onset of the pandemic, of which 1,110,539 have tested positive.
