Havana, Oct 19 (ACN) Cuba and Egypt signed a memo of understanding to expand cooperation in the areas of scientific exchange, training of professionals and in the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
The document was penned Wednesday in Havana by Cuban health minister Jose Angel Miranda and by Wael Abdel-Razek, Egypt’s first deputy health and population minister.
Abdel-Razek expressed his satisfaction for his visit to Cuba and his participation at the 4th Cuba-Salud International Health Convention and also to cooperate with the island in the field of scientific research and biotechnology.
Minister Portal Miranda on his part said that the excellent relations between Cuba and Egypt allow expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in today’s scenario to deal with health problems in the two nations.
