Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC PCC) and president of the country, visited Palma Soriano, in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, as part of the second stage of his working tours of the country's territories.

A delegation of agricultural secretaries and producers from several U.S. states led by National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), the first ever to visit Cuba, reaffirmed that their country can have excellent trade relations with Havana, especially in the agricultural sector.

The local chapter of the Cuban Association of Economists and Accountants (ANEC) urged to step up support to the socialist state enterprise through the upgrading and increased engagement of its members, whose expertise was praised by ANEC leader Oscar Luis Hung.

The Popular Savings Bank (BPA by its Spanish acronym), in the central province of Cienfuegos, is taking steps forward in the process of bankarization promoted in Cuba, with the increase in the number of clients linked to electronic payment gateways and the increase in virtual operations.
