CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Mar 11 (ACN) With the participation of exhibitors from Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, the 24th edition of the Expocam Fair will be held at the Fairgrounds of this eastern city from March 12 to 15.
Tania Rodriguez Mexidor, representative of the Camagüey- Ciego de Avila Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, announced at a press conference that this biannual business meeting is aimed at promoting the presence of state-owned companies, non-state management forms, local development projects of the territory and self-employed workers who have decided to join this event.
The event will be attended by more than 70 entities from Camagüey, Ciego de Avila, Guantanamo and Havana, where they will show their potential in products and services, promoting those that constitute exportable assets.
The specialist added that among the essential purposes are to encourage business exchange, show the best economic and commercial practices, foster productive linkages, and foreign investment projects.
On this occasion, she said, two Business Rounds will be held for the agri-food and construction sectors, with the aim of showing the projects they have, interacting with each other and seeking possible ways to achieve the advancement of these activities, stimulating the circular economy to be able to achieve the use of endogenous resources that exist in the province.
The three basic pillars of the country's current economic development are aimed at exports, import substitution and the development of foreign investment, which is why it is so important for the economic actors to meet and interact.
For his part, Juan Ricardo Poll Gean, director of the foreign trade, foreign investment and international cooperation department, assured that it is a great opportunity for Camagüey's businessmen to show their potential in areas such as fishing, rice, medical services and biotechnology, in order to advance in the territorial development program.
