Havana to host Technology and e-Commerce Congress

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 5 (ACN) The 11th Congress of Technologies, Electronic Commerce and Digital Contents, organized by the Information Technology and Advanced Telematic Services Company Citmatel, will be held March 19-21, at the Havana Convention Center.

Yaroslav Borrego Morejon, director of the Development and Innovation Unit of Citmatel, said in an exclusive interview with the Cuban News Agency that the event will host prestigious professionals from Cuba, Italy, Chile and China.

Borrego Morejon noted that there will be keynote lectures, roundtable sessions on e-commerce and digital content, panels that will showcase more than twenty works of high scientific and innovative content, as well as a virtual exhibition session for papers selected for their demonstrative value and originality.

The executive, who is also president of the Scientific Committee of the Congress, explained that the meeting will feature more than 30 thematic lines on technological innovation, in which stand out business models, platforms and tools for the development of digital content and interactive applications.

During the meeting, other topics such as the advantages of 5G networks, digital transformation in Cuba from the point of view of the governance of science, technology, innovation, the challenges of open science for content management and the process of bankarization will be discussed, he said.

The 11th Congress of Technologies, e-Commerce and Digital Contents will be held in the context of the 19th International Convention and Fair Informatica 2024.
