Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla presides over the Cuban delegation to the 22nd Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), to be held on Friday, Jan. 7 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Mexico will hand over the Pro Tempore Presidency of the Community to the host country, according to a note from the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

January 8, 1959 was a memorable date in the history of Cuba. On that day the triumph of the Revolution consolidated with the entry of Fidel Castro into Havana at the head of his José Martí Column One of the Rebel Army in the Caravan of Freedom, which had departed from the eastern region 6 days earlier and crossed the Island amidst the cheers of people in towns, cities and highways.

The incorporation of more than 1,000 students to general education stands out among the achievements of the Special Education program in the province of Holguin, founded in the country at the initiative of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz on January 4, 1962 and designed to improve the quality of life of infants.

The Commander of the Revolution and Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ramiro Valdés Menéndez urged the managers and workers of the “26 de Julio” cement factory to be more conscientious about, and more committed to, the ongoing investment process to modernize this facility, deemed to be strategic and extremely important to our socioeconomic development and therefore contingent on its labor force’s support to make up for the delays in its construction.

The year 2021 witnessed a sustained increase in solidarity and expressions of friendship from countless friends around the world who showed support for the Revolution and proved that Cuba is not alone, said Victor Gaute, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The University of Havana held the graduation ceremony for the 2021 school year in the context of its 294th anniversary and in a period marked by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel thanked the continuous messages of congratulations, good wishes, commitment and support to Cuba on the occasion of the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
On Twitter, he expressed that Cuba is grateful for these tokens of that solidarity.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Special Education in Cuba, PM Manuel Marrero stressed today on Twitter that the development of this form of education is one of the great achievements of the Revolution and congratulated all those who dedicate their lives to this worthy work.
