HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 10 (ACN) The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, arrived Monday in Managua to participate in the inauguration ceremonies of the new term of office of Nicaragua's President-elect, Commander Daniel Ortega Saavedra.
The visit will be an opportunity to continue deepening political dialogue at the highest level and expand ties between the two nations.
The Cuban delegation is also composed by Luis Alberto Rodriguez Lopez-Callejas, advisor to the president; Gustavo Veliz Olivares, ambassador and director for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean of the Cuban foreign ministry; Jorge Luis Mayo Fernandez, Cuban ambassador to the Republic of Nicaragua, among other Cuban executives and officials.
