Over 8, 000 users in Cuban central province have Internet at home

CIEGO DE Avila, Cuba, Jan 11 (ACN) The Nauta Hogar (Internet at home) service, which has been widely accepted by clients, has reached more than 8,600 homes in Ciego de Avila, from September 2017 to late December. This benefit, which is an advantage because it allows instant connection and offers more privacy to chat with family and friends, benefited 2,324 households last year due to technological improvements.

Wilfredo Jose Rodriguez Rodriguez, head of the General Coordination Department of the Territorial Division of the Telecommunications Company of Cuba S.A. (ETECSA), told Invasor newspaper that the municipalities of Ciego de Avila, Moron and Chambas were the territories with the highest growth.

As part of the informatization process of Cuban society, access to the network of networks from homes is enjoyed in the 10 municipalities of this province, which include popular councils and rural communities.

During 2021, radio bases with 4G were also installed in several localities, which strengthened the cellular network service, which is increasingly in demand in the territory.

Throughout Ciego de Avila there are currently 57 radio bases for 4G, another 118 for 3G and 82 for 2G.
