HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 10 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, condemned today new unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States on Nicaragua.
On Twitter, the foreign minister referred to the visa restrictions imposed on Nicaraguan executives, and expressed that all this constitutes an attempt to meddle in the internal affairs of that nation.
Likewise, he ratified Cuba's solidarity with the government and people of the Central American country.
Monday, US announced new measures to impose visa restrictions on police officers, mayors and prosecutors, referring to alleged politically motivated arrests and repression by the government in Managua.
These measures coincide with the celebration this afternoon of the inauguration of Daniel Ortega, who was reelected in the November 7 elections with 75.87 % of the votes.
