Cuba's Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Rafael Fernández de Cossío denounced the aggressive US policy on the island and alerted to the intensification of the US blockade following recent statements by anti-Cuban politicians in that country.

On January 19 to 23, the Center for Applied Linguistics (CLA) of the Social Sciences and Humanities Agency of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA) will hold the XIX International Symposium on Social Communication, intended to foster scientific analysis and discussion of research in various areas.

At a meeting with the Party Committees of the province of Pinar del Río, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel urged Party and Government officials to maintain the spirit of the 11th Plenum of Central Committee of the Communist Party, held last December.

Special plenary sessions of Cuba’s Communist Party Committees kicked off Wednesday in western Pinar del Rio province presided over by the first secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel.

On January 8, 1959, the Freedom Caravan arrived in Havana after traveling through much of the country since its departure on January 2 from the city of Santiago de Cuba, led by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and members of the victorious Rebel Army that had liberated the country from the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.

Cuba’s National Electoral Council and all its provincial and municipal offices throughout the island backs the Cuban government’s statement in support of Venezuela and joins the international repudiation of January 3rd criminal US military attack against the South American nation.

One hundred years after his birth, the words of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz remain profoundly relevant and constitute an urgent call for equality among nations, as Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Party and Prime Minister of the Republic, reminded us today.

Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, sent his congratulations to the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the people of that Asian nation on the occasion of its 12th Congress.
