At midday onThursday, 232 irregular migrants returned to Cuba through Jose Marti International Airport, deported by U.S. authorities in compliance with bilateral migration agreements.

The world's solidarity with Cuba was once again evident with the arrival in Havana's Jose Marti International Airport of a donation from the Government and people of India to provide humanitarian aid following Hurricane Melissa.

Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, criticized those who, amidst the recovery efforts in the provinces affected by Hurricane Melissa, are labeling the Revolution a failed state.

The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID by its Spanish acronym) delivered a series of resources to Cuban authorities in Havana, destined for the population of the eastern region affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz held meeting on Wednesday with Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation, to express his gratitude for the organization of initial aid consisting of food supplies for the Cuban provinces affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, toured the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba, the territory most severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa.

Within 72 hours after the passage of Hurricane Melissa, the Antonio Maceo International Airport in Santiago de Cuba managed to restore its operations with a safe and efficient flow, thanks to the uninterrupted effort of its workers and the supportive backing of specialized brigades from other provinces.

The international humanitarian organization Operation Walk, which provides free surgeries to patients with joint conditions, has returned to Cuba, with 70 people set to benefit.

The recovery of the electrical service, one of the most sensitive and in-demand services by the population, is at 58 percent in the eastern province of Guantánamo following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

The Eastern Cuba Granma Electric Company reported via its Facebook profile that the Juan Pérez, La Sabana, and Yara solar photovoltaic parks are already contributing or will soon contribute to the stability of the provincial microsystem after the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel said that the stage of recovering from the damages of Hurricane Melissa is progressing with the conviction that no one will be left to their fate.
