Havana, July 30 (ACN) Cuban deputy foreign minister Josefina Vidal attended the high-level meeting on Global AI Governance in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
Participants at the gathering called for the setting up of a just and equitable legal framework. This would favor inclusive and sustainable AI governance and would enhance cooperation and alliances to the benefit of all parties, according to the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
In the sidelines of the meeting, deputy minister Vidal held talks with under-secretary general and envoy of the UN Secretary General Amandeep Gill. Vidal conveyed Gill her government’s willingness to further boost bilateral cooperation and inclusive and participatory AI governance.
The high-level meeting was attended by government officials and representatives of universities, industries and research institutes from around the world.lc
