Cuba attends 2025 Panama International Book Fair

HAVANA, Cuba, August 12 (ACN) Executives and specialists from the Cuban Ministry of Justice (MINJUS) and members of the Cuban Book Chamber, the Ignacio Agramonte y Loynaz Publishing House and other institutions make up the island’s official delegation to the 2025 Panama International Book Fair.

Inaugurated Monday at the Atlapa Convention Center, the literary event―which has Morocco as its guest of honor―is themed "Weaving Dialogue" and features a diverse program that includes book presentations, panels, workshops, and cultural activities.

According to MINJUS in a post on its website, the Cuban delegation has met with regional publishers, promoted the sale of publications, and presented titles of high interest in the legal, educational, and cultural fields.

The post remarks that one of Cuba's main goals is to showcase the diversity of its editorial production, with an emphasis on the legal sector, and to foster alliances for the international circulation of its publications.

Cuba's participation in the Panama International Book Fair has documented history since at least 2023, when it played an active role with the presentation of books on the Non-Aligned Movement and the inauguration of its national pavilion.

The program of this International Book Fair includes meetings with Panamanian students, diplomats, and organizations, and the promotion of Cuban authors.
