The Colombian government will hold today a protocol ceremony for the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Cuba, due to the emergencies caused by recent natural phenomena.

When hurricane Ian ravaging passage destroyed so many homes in western Pinar del Rio province last September 27, Yaremi Fernandez—mother of two children-- knew she would not remain helpless and now she has witnessed how local workers give the finishing touches to her new place in the community of El Sitio, a region devastated by the powerful storm.

The solemn ceremony, held in the hall of the People's Supreme Court, will open the activities of the body for 2023, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the System of Courts of Justice.
