Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla reiterated on Thursday his country’s support of the Palestinian people and he went on denounce the Israeli escalation of violence against Gaza.

Cuba voiced its solidarity with the Palestinian people at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in the aftermath of Israeli bombings following a surprise attack against Israel by the Palestinian group Hamas, which started a conflict between the two nations that has claimed the lives of thousands of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Cuba participated on Wednesday at the opening session of the 3rd Belt and Road Cooperation Forum for International Cooperation, underway in Beijing to address issues like the environment, development, commercial relations, and people-to-people connectivity.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned on Wednesday the US decision to veto a bill submitted by Brazil at the United Nations Security Council allowing a humanitarian halt to send assistance to Gaza.
