Havana, Nov 17 (ACN) Cuban Vice-President Salvador Valdes Mesa held talks on Friday with Guinea Bissau’s Parliament President Domingo Simoes Pereira during his official visit to that African nation.
Valdes Mesa thanked the expressions of affection and friendship by the people of Guinea Bissau to the people of Cuba and particularly to the island’s doctors working in that country.
The Cuba top government official also met on Friday with Guinea Bissau’s President Umaro Sissoco Embalo, and with Prime Minister Geraldo Joao Martins.
Guinea Bissau is the Cuban Vice-President’s second leg of his African tour, which opened in Ghana on November 13 and which will run till November 22 after visiting Rwanda and Ethiopia.
