Getting Cuba’s name out of the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism is the purpose of a campaign organized by trade unionists from that country to request President Joseph Biden to do so before the end of his term.

In a post on X, Political Bureau member Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, criticized the new U.S. veto in the UN Security Council on a draft resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, which he described as evidence of the U.S. government’s complicity in the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people.

The Japanese government announced and aid shipment to Cuba through Japan’s International Cooperation Agency to help recovery actions after the ravaging passage of Hurricane Rafael on the western section of the island.

“As a traveler, I publicly complain that the U.S. refused to grant me an entry visa because I visited Cuba”, Roman Hereter said Saturday to the Congress of the Spanish Federation of Journalists and Tourism Writers (FEPET), held in this resort city and attended by more than 40 participants from different Spanish localities.

Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau and head of foreign relations, condemned the Israeli attacks against Lebanon and Syria, which have caused dozens of deaths.

A very fruitful exchange took place in Havana between Lieutenant General Alexander Viacheslavovich Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Protection, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, and officials of the National General Staff of the Cuban Civil Defense (EMNDC by its Spanish acronym).

In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated Surangel Whipps Jr, president of Palau, on the occasion of his re-election and reasserted to him the commitment to keep strengthening the links of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

The 60th anniversary of Russia’s Cuba Friendship Society (RCFS), formerly the Soviet-Cuban Friendship Society, will be celebrated today in Moscow by its leaders and top officials of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
