HAVANA, Cuba, June 25 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla reported that he held a fruitful meeting with his Belarusian counterpart, Maxim Ryzhenkov, in which both parties confirmed the excellent state of the political and diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The Cuban official stated in his message that he reasserted Cuba's interest in deepening their economic and cooperation ties for the benefit of their respective peoples.
A Cuban delegation headed by President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Minsk, Belarus, on an official visit to meet with local authorities and participate in the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to Alejandro Simancas Marín, Deputy Director General of Bilateral Affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit to Belarus gives natural continuity to the high-level political dialogue developed in recent years, pursuant to friendly ties dating back to even decades before the establishment of formal diplomatic relations in April 1992 and based on shared views and common positions regarding international affairs.
