HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 27 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel is attending Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEC) meeting, the regional bloc's most important body, today in Minsk, Belarus.
This meeting is made up of the heads of the organization's member states. The meeting will be attended by the leaders of the five member countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia) and the three with observer status (Cuba, Uzbekistan, and Iran).
Cuban head of state is attending this meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for the second time, and the Caribbean island has been an observer state since December 2020.
The EAEU's structure includes the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which meets annually, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Economic Court.
