HAVANA, Cuba, July 2 (ACN) The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua expressed its firm support for Cuba and denounced the intensification of the U.S. blockade, calling it "inhumane and criminal."
In an official statement signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, the Nicaraguan authorities condemned this policy of systematic harassment against the Cuban people and praised the historical resilience of the Cuban Revolution in the face of external pressure.
"The government of the United States of America only demonstrates its unhealthy and hateful intention to destroy a country, a people, and a revolution that will never be defeated," says the statement, which also underscores the Nicaraguan people's admiration for Cuba's strength, describing it as "an example and strength for the peoples of the world".
The text also reaffirms the long-lived solidarity between the two nations, based on emblematic figures such as Fidel Castro and Raúl Castro, and stresses the words "Free Homeland and We Continue to Win" as a call to dignity and resistance and the confirmation of Nicaragua's commitment to the principles of sovereignty and self-determination.
