Cuba thanks China’s decrying of U.S. blockade

HAVANA, Cuba, July 3 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla thanked the Chinese Foreign Ministry for its statements against both the U.S. blockade of the island and the designation of Cuba as an alleged state sponsor of terrorism.

During a press conference on Wednesday, Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, urged the U.S. to lift these sanctions against Cuba and condemned the memorandum signed on June 30 by President Donald Trump to toughen the U.S. Cuba policy.

Mr. Ning stressed that China firmly supports Cuba in its efforts for development based on the country’s conditions and opposes Washington's unilateral sanctions, imposed under the pretext of preserving freedom and democracy.
