A donation of powdered milk, boxes of gloves and pasta arrived in Cuba on Saturday from Carlos Lazo, Cuban-American professor and activist, who leads the Bridges of Love project, as well as from the pacifist organization Code Pink.

The Botanical Garden of the province of Cienfuegos (JBC) will present the results of two important research projects to the 3rd Congress of the Network of Botanical Gardens of the Caribbean and Central America, to be held in the Bahamas on Nov. 14 to 18.

Representatives of the health, energy and banking sectors denounced the effects of U.S. blockade on their fields and how much it harms the Cuban people in statements made on the occasion of the beginning Wednesday of the first debates on the draft resolution "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba" at the United Nations General Assembly.

 Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel lamented the death of a young linesman engaged in the recovery effort to fix the damages caused by Hurricane Ian in the province of Pinar del Río.
